Abstract:
Contemporary ceramics has shifted from a peripheral craft practice into a highlight of major exhibitions and art historical discourses. This panel examines the place of ceramics within broader artistic and scholarly conversations, with particular attention to material questions of malleability and permanence, and fragmentation and repair.
